CRAMO

´´We are happy when we find innovations that allow us to deliver equipment and services that are better for both our customers and for the environment´´

Cramo has reduced 6 tons of plastic and reduced the packaging time by over 50% using modulecover

Cramo can with good reason be called a pioneer in the construction industry. The company started in 1953 and responsible and environmentally friendly operations have been at the company’s core since the beginning.

– At Cramo, we work actively to reduce our footprint. Therefore, we are happy when we find innovations that allow us to deliver equipment and services that are better for both our customers and for the environment, says Harald Moholt, department manager for modules at Cramo.

He estimates that Cramo has reduced the packaging time for modules by 50%, a significant reduction in time spent and costs that creates a more effective workday for all employees. Laths and nails previously accounted for a large proportion of waste which, with the help of Modulcover, is eliminated completely.

Ramirent

´´Would never go back to disposable plastic´´

The rental company Ramirent saves 10 tons of plastic a year

The Finnish rental company Ramirent has, as Looping’s first customer, been involved in promoting re-use as an industry standard for packaging modules and barracks since 2017.

– Now we save both plastic and time. Before, we covered the modules with disposable plastic and could use between seven to eight kilos of single use plastic per module when moving. With this reuse solution, we save around 10 tons of plastic annually. That is great! At the same time, we save an hour on rigging and dismantling because the system is easier to use.

Said Øyvind Emblem, who was Executive Vice President for the Norwegian Ramirent branch from 2015 to 2020.

Ramirent has 7,000 modules for rent in Norway, of which between 1,500 and 2,000 are moved anually. In Norway, the company has a turnover of 1.3 billion NOK and 400 employees.
